We are an affiliated chapter of NE MGT Register the North American MGA Register and the North American MGB Register as well as the Connecticut Councils of Car Clubs. Our over 250 members own and appreciate every kind of MG, from the early MG-TCs, TDs and TFs to MGAs, MGBs, MGB-GTs , MGC, MGCGT, Midgets and Magnets. Some members are multi-MG owners, some are devoted to their one special car, and others are still looking for that perfect MG with which to fall in love. But you don't have to own an MG to join. Some members just enjoy the club camaraderie, without the trials and tribulations of ownership while others enjoy group gatherings for tech sessions and help on other member's cars. All British car enthusiasts are welcome to join the Connecticut MG Club. People join our club for many reasons. There is a core group of members who enjoy the personal club fellowship and attend almost every meeting and event. We gather monthly for club meetings at Farrel's Restaurant, Rte 66, Portland, and we have five Regional Groups that meet at other times in various places for ice cream, pizza and lunches. Others can't make it to the meetings, but enjoying supporting the club and getting the Mowog News, the monthly club magazine or attending the various runs, rallies, and dinners the club sponsors. The club's major event is the British by the Sea, a show we host each year on the first Sunday in June. The event, held at Harkness Park in Waterford, CT attracts 300 British cars of all kinds, and is one of the region's most popular car shows. Enjoy our website, and send us an email if you'd like more information about our club. You'll find a wealth of technical expertise and experience among our members, and we are always happy to welcome new MG enthusiasts. Join us. Click here for a membership form.
